Lea and I realized a few days ago that we’re rounding the corner on our first year of marriage. Can so much time have already passed? It seems like only a few months ago now that some of you were here in Estonia to celebrate our wedding with us. Time has flown! And no wonder – this last year has been an incredible journey of discovery and adjustment.

But our journey of discovery hasn’t been limited to our marriage. Each of us has been exploring and developing our current ministry involvements and together, we’ve spent some time exploring new strategic frontiers of exciting future ministry in the Estonian Church.

Dear Friends

Great news! The elders of the Viimsi Church in Estonia have recently invited Alongside Ministry to send some one to come alongside them and minister to their youth. Alongside has decided to send me. So, early in the morning on Monday, December 14th I will leave the Spokane Airport to begin a month of intensive training in Strasbourg, France and on January 26th, I’ll leave to minister and live alongside our friends in Viimsi, Estonia! Having met and worshipped with them in March, I am excited to work among such earnest believers. Your prayers and financial support have paved the way. For example, as I step on the plane I will have in one hand a $400 ticket to Frankfurt, Germany and in the other an American passport stamped with a two year long-stay visa. Behind the scenes my Alongside account has slowly built up to almost $3,000 in excess of my budget. Each of these had the potential to be stumbling blocks. But your intercession and the grace of our “God of impossibilities” have turned potential problems into tremendous blessings.
